This course will teach you the
emergency life saving techniques
you will need if your baby or
child stops breathing. Includes
practice on resuscitation
mannequins.
It covers:
• mouth to mouth
resuscitation
• cardio pulmonary
resuscitation (CPR)
• recovery position
• choking
• drowning
Duration: 3 hours |

This course will give you the
basic first aid skills to effectively
manage the following:
• bleeding
• burns, scalds, electrocution
• meningitis
• febrile convulsions
• allergies and stings
• anaphylaxis
• simple fractures
• head injuries
• treatment of shock
• poisoning
Duration: 3 hours
This course is only suitable if you have completed
a Lifesaver course in the last 3 years. |

Our trainer will come to your home or chosen venue at
a time that suits you - evenings, weekdays or even weekends
at no extra charge.They will bring all the necessary
equipment including resuscitation mannequins and training
manuals and everyone in the
group will have ample opportunity to practise their
first aid skills.

Our courses are suitable for anyone with a working knowledge
of English. Please remember to request a pre-course
pack which includes language support plus important
advice for keeping children safe and healthy. Your trainer
will give you plenty of opportunities to demonstrate
that you have understood the first aid techniques taught
and will answer any questions you have throughout the
course. |

This is a comprehensive
paediatric course covering all the areas highlighted
by OFSTED as being appropriate for childminders
and full day care providers.
It includes everything covered on the Lifesaver
and Essential courses plus:
Recording accidents and incidents, Planning for
emergencies, Appropriate contents for a first
aid kit, Responding appropriately to foreign objects
in eyes/ears/nose, Eye Injuries Responding appropriately
to the effects of extreme heat/cold, Management
of chronic medical conditions including sickle
cell anaemia and diabetes. |
