What to expect from this course

This introductory course will give your Senior Leadership Team the basic skills and knowledge to help promote mental wellbeing, prevent work related mental ill health and recognise and respond appropriately when a staff member needs support
Key learning objectives include:
- Taking a pre-emptive strike before crisis hits
- Noticing the early signs of stress and burn out
- Getting comfortable with asking difficult questions about a colleague’s mental health
- Knowing what to say and what not to say
- Supporting a colleague in crisis
- Balancing the demands of the profession – self-care tips for yourself and your staff
- Clear take-away tips to help staff manage their anxiety and stress
- Successful strategies to build resilience and increase one’s ability to cope
- Understanding how creating a calmer, more supportive working environment leads to a more productive workplace
